This will probably be my last project for a while. My wife says I need to start with something that needs a little less work, like say maybe needs a wing window washed. Definitely won't be my last classic vehicle. |

Ice Cream Man from Hell! I know that guy, he's been friends with my folks for over 20 years. Everything he owns is white with flames. His port-o-john drag racer is the Cadillac of crappers. |

Buellish, when I had my '63 on the road, driving around in it was a surreal experience. Gotta love the mile-long dashboards. I used it in place of a limo for my wedding in 2001. We were between homes, because we had a lot of permit issues with the house we were building, so it sat outside for 2 winters. Poor car took a beating, but there was nothing I could do. At least it's now warm and dry in the barn and won't get any worse. One of these days I'll get around to tidying it up. |

Brinnutz, I really have no idea what the values are over there atm. Chili thinks between 60-100k? Can't narrow it down any more. Depends what the owner values it at/for? Spill? |

Are there any websites you frequent that has a badweb type following? Oh yeah, how 'bout some pics of your rides? Visit the C1 & C2 section of corvetteforum, but can't keep up with it either these days. The ride of 25+ years:

I am into Mopars and anything "Pro-Touring" in general. If you don't know what pro-touring is think of Pro-Street cars but done in a road racer/ auto-X theme. Pony cars are the primary car to make a pro-tourer but anything is game that can be made to burn corners, S-10's to Tri-5's. www.pro-touring.com http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/4062/426766.html?1231376637 (Message edited by Cudajohn on January 07, 2009) |

I am into Mopars Back in the mid 80's, M2nc and I went to Mopar Nationals in Columbus OH with friends. What a fun weekend. The row of Superbird and Daytona noses and wings was impressive. I would love to have an old Cuda drop top. Love the new ones out too! Both are equally expensive. Oh, to dream! |

Vampress, He listed it on eBay and it went for 160,000 or so. His reserve was 200,000. I'll post a few pics from the shoot I did with him... |

I love the old muscle cars. Always been partial to the original GT500 Mustangs. But my family has always been GM/Chevy fans, so that's what I know the most about. I don't have the dough for those toys, so I just have to settle to drive my Dad's toys-'98 Z28, 2003 Z06 Corvette and 2004 Cadillac CTS-V with a built LS7 427 in it. |

Boss 429... drool... drool... I was guessing at the value. It's a lot of $$$, but it's a lot of car You folks have some really nice cars Along with the Pacer (which is pretty similar to a '69 Dodge Dart) we have Misty, the '74 F100, which will get a bit of a clean up one day. If you like Mopars, check out www.moparmarketforum.com for a downunder twist. It is one of the best car forums I've found, has a similar feel to BadWeb, and like here I've made some good friends and learned heaps through the folks there. We might be looking after my Dad's '64 Fairlane sometime soon too. One day we'll find a Mustang for Vamps... Maybe a Charger for me one day... and a '70.5 Camaro... and a RoadRunner... and a 911... and a Boss 302... |

For me Hot Rods end in 1959, after that there is the Muscle car era where things become more boxy and less style by conture and more cut and shaped by speed. And there are some great pony cars/muscle cars, but I wouldnt put them in the same categories for performance or styling. Dont even get started with the donut crew at GoodGuyz about what is and isnt a hot rod. |

I watched the Mecum auction on Discovery Theatre and couldnt believe the prices they were getting for some of those old muscle cars. Makes me wish I had held onto the cars of my youth. |

And there are some great pony cars/muscle cars, but I wouldnt put them in the same categories for performance or styling. Dont even get started with the donut crew at GoodGuyz about what is and isnt a hot rod. See, for me it's different. Anything you wrench on and make improvements on to make faster can be a hotrod. (A hot rod motorscooter, a hotrod racing lawn mower....) The term "hot rod" is derived from the 30's and 40's in So Cal out on the dry lakes and at the Salt Flats later in the SCTA. It was actually a derogatory term for Model T's that were "souped up" but still retained the original engine and not a V8 or other healthier engine. The original Ford engines didn't like high RPM's and had connecting rod bearings that failed. They would seize and the rod would snap. So if you want to put restrictions on what you can call a Hotrod then only Model T's with the original 4 banger can be a Hotrod. I prefer to leave it open to interpretation. |

This is me and my `65 at the track back in 1994. I think that I bought it in 1986. Now it just sits up on the lift at my shop waiting for it`s 2nd restoration. I was going to sell it a few years ago but my younger son begged me not to. (he was 12 at the time) So I gave him the car and agreed to help him turn it into a mild pro street car. Wow I just realized that he was born the year this photo was taken. |

whats the B-body Cudajohn? As a kid in the 80's i grew up around my dad's Mopar restorations. Always been a big hobbyist. Lotsa memories of some nice challengers. His current stable includes an unrestored 68 GTX 4 spd with 32,000 original miles, a 69 GTX, a '78 silver anniv. Vette L-82 4 spd with 16,000 original miles, and '94 viper with 1,400 miles, (he likes low milage/original iron) but the creme de la creme is the matching #s '70 challenger R/T 440 convertable, white w/ red interior and longitudinal stripe, one of one with all the options. I'll try to find some pics... He has some ford products but not the high value stuff... |
