Six-months ago... 1st Buell for me. Excited about ECM'spy, I got a laptop-to-bike 'spy cable from a fellow here on BadWeB list. Thankful for a good deal at sixty-bucks. 'Spy software & its documentation (+ cable building if one's up to it) was freely distributed online. THAT seemed to-good-to-be-true. I'd 'bout decided its overseas authorship was a Factory ruse to hide what a grand benevolent gesture to its buyers & riders. (I 'spose some '08 riders don't feel quite as elated and grateful.) Meantime... Here on BadWeB I've "listened" and offered up opinion and question on subject of swapping ECM maps among ourselves, feedback mechanisms on "virtual library" maps, etc. And, that package of goodies is the price of cable six-months ago. Today... I found offered for auction at you-know-where is something more. [Turk, if you're reading this, sit down : ) ] Online store at auction site is offering cable, software, documentation, plus apparently the whole library of Buell maps, street & race through '08 models. If I arrived at Buell ownership today instead of six-months ago, I believe this would look like a heck of deal. Regardless of its propriety, seems to me a sea change in value and availability of ECM maps. |

Sounds like he is excited about someone selling a cable and stuff that has been free for over years now. |
