Hello to All: Was wondering if I could get some insight as to which aftermarket shield provides the best protection from the windblast on the S3T. I should be getting the bike next week some time and this item will probably be first on the list to replace. Thanks Alot. |

I purchased one from Gustafson, and they have a one of the better selections. One thing to keep in mind is that you may have to drill your own holes. This requires a plastic drill bit and about $7-10 each, and it is up to you to not mess up the hole pattern. This is the 2nd one I purchased from them, the S2 had the holes predrilled, but the one for the XB was not. Doesn’t hurt to ask them. I got a 4inch taller windscreen for my S2 and it works at keeping the wind off you, but the shape kind of reminds me of the “Alien”. I’ll see if I can post some pics in my profile. edited by kaese on December 27, 2003 |

For aftermarket, I like the Zero Gravity screen. About 2" taller without the "Alien" look. I've tried them both and kept the Zero Gravity. |

The Zero Gravity is listed as 3" taller on their site. American Sport Bike has them for 79.95. I have one on my S3 and love it. The Gustafson 4" shield looks weird to me, the lines don't flow well. |

Yep, Tat has a couple of kinds.... -one is 4" inch I believe and have a much taller bubble....had that one on for a while.....thicker screen but the top of the screen was the same heighth.. -Another screen is like the stock screen, 2 inches, I believe, but it is taller and tilts up more. I have this one mine now...REX |

The ZG I got from Tat is a little crooked plus needed some grinding to fit properly. Not sure if anyone else had those problems. |

I have the Zero Gravity screen - it is perfect as far as moving the wind flow to the top of my helmet - verses right at me neck (stock). I'm about 5' 9" tall, so if you're much taller you might want to go with a screen that is a bit taller. |

I have put Two on my bikes and one one my brother in laws and they were fine. Tat doesn't make'em, you should have called him. He would do what ever was necessary to please you I'm sure. |

Finally got some pics of the +4inch Alien Windscreen. Here is a link. There is a dark blue GForce on the XB. The Gforce even looks better on a white XB. http://us.f2.yahoofs.com/users/3f4d3823_109b6/bc/Mail+Attachments/__hr_/5.jpg?phj.c9_APXE_hsSp edited by kaese on January 02, 2004 |
