What are the chances that the XR1200 fuel injection system will be interchangeable with the XB12? I just happened to think that that might ultimately be a cure for the chronic stumble so many of our bikes exhibit, since H-D has a reputation for a pretty smooth FI system. Anyone know how the XR1200 FI is set up? ~SM |

"Delphi/Dell'Orto EFI delivers fuel flawlessly after a little fluffy patch just above idle." I got that from a Motorcyclist web page. Another said something about downdraft efi |

I would think Matt at Adrenalin-Moto (http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/ ) would have a pretty good handle on it. |

Doesn't the Sportster setup use dual O2 sensors that allows each cylinder to be adjusted independently? That might be a significant improvement. |

I think its a shame that BMC can't produce a solution to this fuel injection issue so many are experiencing. |

Another said something about downdraft efi I can verify first hand that there is a very slight hiccup just off idle. While not as pronounced as on XB, it definitely is not quite as "polished" (just off idle) as the typical Harley. |

There is something about the Sportster/Buell engine that is completely different than the big twins. I was told years ago that the only reason the Sportster line didn't have an option for fuel injection yet was because they couldn't make it work correctly. |

What Buell fuel injection issue? Neither my 2006 XB12Ss nor my new 2009 1125R have any kind of fueling issues that I've noticed (or am I just used to fuel injected bikes having ridden them since 1985?). |

>>>I was told years ago that the only reason the Sportster line didn't have an option for fuel injection yet was because they couldn't make it work correctly. Someone teased you. The reason was precisely why Buells do not have ABS. |
