That's funny Court. I was probably more like 3' 6" back in the 125 days. I would ride up front, hands on the cross bar, feet atop the engine cases.

Dad's 6' even. You met him at Nick and Sammy's place in Daytona. He'll always be tall in my view. : )

Ralph

Me? I'm just 6' 3".

Dad rode prior to my birth back in high school and college, but only picked it up back about 3 years ago... I would give credit to my college best friend who had an old Kawi kl250 that allowed me to get licensed for the street .... thanks Luke!!!

I was bred into bikes. One of my first memories was seeing my dad on his ElectraGlide, and this was in the early 80's, still in a time where a Harley rider was a tough thing to be. People pulled guns, threw bottles, tried to kill my dad. But he still rode, because that is what he loved. He also had a dirtbike for a short stint....

Well, dad never bought me a bike for some reason, but I saved up the dough and bought a Honda ATC110, a 3 wheeler, and I swear I logged 5k miles on that thing. Couple years down the road, my cousin had an XR100, and I talked him into letting me take it for a "quick spin".. I brought it back an hour later with no gas..... That first ride just truly let me know why so many people love it.... I was in love as well.

My first street ride was a 53 Harley Hummer 125 that was purchased for 100 dollars, in several boxes. Took a summer, but I got it together and rode around illegally in the back roads of my small town. It would read 50mph on a good hill, scary fast for me at the ripe age of 13. Next was a 78 Honda CB200 that was given to me out of a back yard. Took some coils and some patchwork to the tank, and a lot of tinkering, but it came to life. I owned it for about 6 months, until my father ended its life by running it over with his truck. It was his way of punishing me for going somewhere I wasn't supposed to go. The Hummer was sold while I was at my grandmothers, for a large sum of money, and I never saw but the original 100 back. My father and I's battle is a whole different story......

My Dad.

I told him I wanted a three wheeler or an Odyssey.

He said "Screw that, you're gettin' a dirt bike."

I've thanked him since (even though my step mother tried to kill me by buying me a 2-stroke IT-250 when I was 11, and my Dad was cool with it).
