I know, odd question for a Buell board...but I'm looking for a part if anyone has a spare. I use Sirius (damn wife's car came with a free year, and now we're hooked) and have a dock-n-play receiver. Dropped it, broke it, bought a replacement. Replacement came with a car kit, don't need a car kit, but I'd love to turn it into a home kit for the garage. Only thing I need is a 120v wall plug to 5.2v power adaptor, I can use the dock and antenna out there. If anyone has a home power cord, and wants a new unused car power cord...or just has a spare home power cord...send me a PM, thanks! I also have the FM "extender" transmit antenna if anyone wants it, so you can "broadcast" your Sirius to your car radio over an FM frequency. |

Sirius--it's like electronic crack! First time I ran my Sirius-equipped truck through the car wash I pulled the FM antenna off so it wouldn't get mangled. The antenna's still rolling around under the seat somewhere...and the truck's a 2004 model that I bought new! Sorry, don't have a spare cord... rt |

You get XM if you want real music, not just FM without commercials like Sirius Got a photo the jack you need the adapter for? Radio shack has universal ones that can do the trick. |

I bet Froggy thought that Laser Disk was the way to go back in the day. Sirius is King over XM. |

Before the merger, XM had 4 times as many licenses for the music, they play more songs deeper in the albums than Sirius. By comparison, it makes Sirius just FM radio without the commercials. I don't know if thats all changed since the merger, but personally I wish it never happened. Hell Howard killed satellite radio single handedly, with his stupidly huge contract that is forcing the company into near bankruptcy. Oh and Damnut, Laser Disk gave birth to the precious CD and DVDs that I know you use. |

XM dumped a ton of cash for Oprah and lost subscribers, which led to them getting acquired by Sirius. Either way "deep songs" is relative and Sirius has some great channels. The Stern Factor is unavoidable, now you can get the best of both, XM's best doesn't include any "Deep Songs" ?? |

I have listened to both XM and Sirius and prefer Sirius, but that may be because I have been a long time subscriber to it and get figure out the channels (WTF is Lucy?) - maybe I am not deep enough... I like www.Pandora.com better than both of them |

I have Sirius, and like it a lot, but Froggy has a point... they get repetitive pretty quick. And I only listen to 4 stations, tops. But still, it's worth the price of going out at Longhorn once a month just to dodge the commercials, and at least I have a genra choice. Around here, the only things on FM are country, pop, hip-hop, and Mexican. ~SM |

I listen to Pandora while I ride. It's all good as long as you have continual cell service. I loose it sometimes in the hills of PA. |

Rat, I've had the same issue, well, uh, sort of anyway with my XMs. I picked up a multi voltage power supply from Radio Shack for about $10.00 and it works just fine for the A/C power. They come with 10 different quick attach adapter heads too. |

You get XM if you want real music, not just FM without commercials like Sirius I think Sirius bought XM this past year. |

Obviously you didn't read the rest of the thread. Just because they have merged doesn't mean anything. Still lots of legal red tape and contracts, etc. They are still two totally different services, with a few select channels being shared over both. |

Sirius gave a ton of $ to keep XM up and running. If XM was aquired or dropped all together, monopoly laws would force Sirius out of business |
