I have a Penske shock on my cyclone and the last part of this season it seemed to be loosing some of it's strength. Does anyone know where or how to rebuild it instead of buying a new one. At the price I paid for this one I would hate to buy another. | ||

Cyclone; I seriously doubt the spring is starting to "sag". Most likely you just need a rebuild; seals, oil, nitrogen charging and whatever else is involved. Penske recommends rebuilding after a silly low number of hours ridden. I've had a Penske on the SV (track mostly) for 2 seasons and have felt no change. However, rebuilding every couple of years probably wouldn't hurt. Just like you change fork oil once a year - you do change fork oil, right  I'll, as always  , recommend Traxxion Dynamics for any suspension work. I wouldn't dive into a rebuild without the proper tools and experience. Henrik | ||

Thanks for the the help. And yes I change my fork oil.  I have ridden around 25,000 miles on the penske which has few track days and lots of carving. The few people I have asked didn't seem to have any clue in when to rebuild so I figured I would check it out here. Thanks again and any other Info would be appreciated | ||

Cyclone; from hastily failing memory: I think Penske recommends rebuilding after a mere 30 hours of racing/track riding. I'd say you got your $$ worth on that one Call Traxxion - they'll set you up. The Penske btw. is fully rebuildable, so no need to replace. A rebuild runs $115 at Traxxion - just checked their site. Henrik | ||

You may also want to check with www.suspension-ed.com He works with Trackside Engineering and has done our stuff for many years, I believe he is very reasonable also! | ||
