Will be interesting to see what opinions are now. Please if you haven't already, add your response to this poll. If you've already added one, please don't post a duplicate. If you have a new Buell not yet represented here, but did contribute earlier, please advise so. But hasten to point out that I make that statement based on;y on 21 years of experience. And to be fair, I've only owned 10 Buells and I suspect I've ridden less than a 1,000 different Buells throughout 44 states. I also need to point out that in addition to the two Buells sitting here in the basement there were also, until recently a Suzuki, BMW and a Kawasaki. The BMW is still here but has been sold and will be delivered. After spending $2,000 on "routine maintenance" this year I decided to share that joy and am now riding a Buell. So far I've had several issues. Four belts, first one I treated just like a chain and broke it, the second didn't last very long at all, the old style old style replacement, the third I busted teeth out of on a dyno drag, the forth has lasted a couple of years. 20thousand, and 40thousand miles had stator failures, Mobil1 gear oil, not used any longer. The front forks started leaking at around 40thousand miles. The rear shock didn't last 50thousand. '05 XB12r bought new,now has almost 12000 miles.Only issue was the headlamps,but rectified by BMC. Problems: belt broke, porous cam shaft case, (replaced by Buell after 3yrs under warranty). Satisfied. Definitely. 2004 XB 12 S . About 13K miles now, highly modified, had to replace voltage regulator, relay, battery. Very Satisfied. Actually, I think the reason that I have enjoyed these bikes as much as I have is due not only to the bicycle itself, but just as importantly, to the entire Buell community and to Bad Web in particular.   Bill0351 Posted on Monday, September 29, 2008 - 10:02 am:        2002 Cyclone Bought used and cheap with 6,000 miles. One repair in one year of ownership, and that was to replace a Hayden M6 that was put in by the previous owner. I would like a little more power, but that's about it. It's been a great bike, and it's very close to being the most fun of any bike I have owned. In my opinion, it is the best looking bike that has ever been parked in my garage.
