with four buddies on our way to the mountains of western NC. I really wish I could see some of you guys at Buelltoberfest, but being with a group I will lack a bit of flexibility. I hope to end up in the same area at the same time, though, but I am not sure. I am not that knowledgeable about the area. I know we are arriving in the Sylva area Friday afternoon. We stay in a cabin there and ride out from it each day. We will be heading back toward Florida on the following Tuesday. We are going to do the Blue Ridge, the Dragon, the Cherohala, and the surrounding areas on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We will save the Dragon for Monday to hopefully avoid some of the crowd and LE. We will probably do the Blue Ridge on Saturday. Will any of you be in that area? I am riding with great friends, but alas they are all cruiser riders and the pace will be quiet leisurely. Still, it is a nice time in the mountains with good friends. AND IT IS AWAY FROM WORK FOR A FEW DAYS!!! Work has been less fun lately and I need a break. Anyway, I hope to come across you guys while I am up there. Or have I completely confused the timing of Buelltoberfest? |

Buelltoberfest is Oct.3,4,5. Two hrs. 30 minutes SW from Sylva. Be sure to check out the Soul Infusion restaurant in Sylva towards Cullawhee. Old orange Chevy pickup rusting away in the front lot as a ornament. Cool place. Try the Buffalo chicken wrap, fresh salsa with chips and a cold brew. |

Don't break down on the Blue Ridge like I did a few weeks ago. There is absolutely NO cell phone service but it is a great ride. |
