Oh defintley, I figured it about to between 9k-11k, including the Cosworth crank and rods (thats 4k together right there!), LSD, Stage 4 clutch, 3 inch turoback..etc. The Svt is awesome, I got the body kit just need to get it painted ona and put on my car. Froggy by ZX4 are you referring to the ST? because the ZX4 is just a regular econobox with the 2.0 like mine. The St has the 2.3 Dtec which is money, and the base of my project! Sorry for hijacking the thread kids, I love my Focus tho! Diesel is firggin money, all torque to! |

I'm running an SVT Focus. Ford did a great job making an excellent, well made, balanced car. It's fast without being overwhelming, the handling is phenominal, the brakes are great, etc. Boost, stop dreaming of unobtanium. You can spend the money if you'd like, but you don't need exotic parts to make power. I made 400 horsepower in my Mustang with a minimal of money. I had around $3,000 in the entire engine. I've got a front mount intercooler, Super 60 Garret and a whole crap load of mandel tubing. I'm waiting for the funds for an exhaust manifold, bypass valve and dyno time. I'm shooting for 250 ponies in the Focus. Of course, this is subject to change because I'm really diggin the new Challenger RT and SRTs, Camaros and I'm eagerly waiting on the 2010 Mustang. My wife wants a convertible, so a newer Mustang GT with a blower may be in our future |

The SVT focus is an excellent, top notch handling car. But it won't run with boosted cars period. Thats what I'm arguing, is Ford never gave us a boosted small/hatch, but Mexico got the Focus ST (the turbo version, not American one) and Europe the Focus ST and the Focus RS. For Ford to give that to foreign countries and not even give us an option was a slap in the face to every Ford enthusiast. The exotic parts would allow huge psi, I mean 250 whp like you said is standard on a stock Focus turbo kit. I'm not knocking it, 250 in a Focus is fast, but 400 is what I want. I want the power to destroy any import, and anything for that matter, but especially all the cocky WRX and Evo owners that love to hate on the Focus. With the Cosworth forged crank and forged rods, you can do that. Max boost on stock Zetec or Dtec is around 12 psi. I want 30. Are you on FocusFanatics or Focajet btw Thumper? |

I read that Ford is not selling the Fiesta ECO in the U.S. because they did not think they would be able to make enough of a profit on it. It was in a trade magazine, but I do not recall which one. |

"Who gives a crap what came out of the exhaust, it was just black dust and blew off to the side of the road. " Dust that happens to be highly carcinogenic (cancer-causing). But then again, what isn't nowadays? The newer diesel fuels are supposed to produce less. ~SM |
