I saw this post on Luxist today and I thought about your project. Any updates? http://www.luxist.com/2008/09/04/derringer-cycles- 180-mpg-1920s-styling/ In Los Angeles, Derringer Cycles are the new Bentley. Whether you want to go green or just look good doing it, these moto-hybrids are a trend to hop onto. You can reach speeds of 40mph, pedaling not required. (Hence the hybrid in moto-hybrid: you can pedal as if on a traditional bike, use the engine for assistance pedaling, or rely completely on your bike's 4-stroke engine, traveling near and far without ever breaking a sweat.) Depending on how often you choose to pedal, your moto-hybrid can get up to 180 miles per gallon. The Derringer cycle was conceived by famed industrial designer Adrian Van Anz (Brad Pitt is a fan) to "take the compromise out of environmentalism," riffing on parts Ducati and parts Schwinn. You can order up your hand-built cycle in splashy colors ranging from Fresco Blue to Bad Girl Pink (there's Good Girl Pink, too), or custom paint jobs like 22-carat engine-turned gold. Check out the gallery for all the cool options. Derringer has a retail store at 7954.5 West 3rd St., L.A. and can talk bikes with you over the phone at 323-944-0091. Cycles sell for $3,500. |

I have contacted Derringer about their tank (350 painted not a bad deal, but not great either) That tank is the last thing I need for the Whizzer / Beach Cruiser that I need. It will end up being 110cc's but guess who went and got Brass stampings saying 49cc ? in the middle of moving so all my projects are up in the air right now. |

Your still moving??? You have been moving since I have known you. Are you carrying one brick of the Chateau at a time? Seriously when you get your whizzer done, let me know. I want to ride one before I get more serious about owning one. |

Ugh, if it were just me, I would be gone by now. I will never get myself buried in a relationship like this again. G-d comingled funds, shared assets. There isnt enough room here to adequately express how pi$$ed off I am about the whole situation. Nor would it be Safe for Work either. Note to self, NEVER AGAIN. On a happier note, I am getting her 2003 XL883R out of the split. She never rode it anyways. Pics of the whizzer when she is finally done. Board Trackin, the original Ol Skool. |
