I heard about this track, a year and a half ago, under constuction on the Iowa side on I-35 just south of Albert Lea, MN,

The track was called LaMonza and looked very promising from the website which has down for awhile.

Since it's only two hours from me, I wondered if it's still a go?

Id love to know about a track there as well!!!! Im Only two and a half away. Gearhead, you giving free trackday lessons?

They are still working with the area down there for permits. I also heard that the high fuel prices may have killed it.
That area really needs something to stimulate the economy. Nice area but no work for the people. Not everyone can work at the casino.
