Got the poster, thanks. It looks great Hi Ron, hope the XT is still treating you well. Thanks for the inquiry...I miss being able to get out and enjoy the roads! Progressing, but slowly. All in all though I'm amazed at how far I've gotten. Shattered both legs on July 16, replaced quite a bit of bone in both legs (and one hip) with titanium, and as of Friday the PT told me I could walk indoors without my crutches if I wanted to. Best part is, I *can* walk indoors without my crutches. Slowly, crooked, lopsided...but it's *walking*, dammit! Mentally, I'm no worse off than I was before the accident - this is my job now, putting my body back together, and I'm good with that - I'm just boooooored. It happens though, and I've got time. Some things in life you need to take time and do the right way. Thanks all for the good thoughts, and thanks Dana for the poster. I've got a collection from Homecoming that'll be getting framed and put up in a nice spot, and that's definitely going in the group! Happy thoughts, everyone...now go log some miles for me and ride safe |

Joe, Still lovin' the XT, though I've only got 6700 miles on it so far. It's great to hear about your good progress. It sounds like we'll have to get together for a ride in a few months! |

Yah, I'm going to have to drop my standard smartass "ignore the plate in my head" comment now that there's real metal in me, lol. Good thing I have a long honey-do list to keep me from travelling much |

Dude, think of the cool tricks you can do with refrigerator magnets! ...I don't think titanium is magnetic, unfortunately. Otherwise, my left thigh would be an awesome place for a magnetic map sleeve, LOL. Thanks for the good thoughts, everyone. Learning to walk for a second time in life is less than fun, but it's the only job I've got at the moment so I'm working my butt off trying to get it done. I just want (and can't wait to get) my life back, and every day its starting to look more and more likely |

Good to hear you're almost running around. Walking around inside I'm sure is a release, at least from the extra hardware. Neil S. 1125r(t) |
