My 999 is second hand, but I have all the receipts for the first 6000 miles. Besides oils changes, no problems at all, unless you count the false ground I created removing the license plate bracket. |

"Aw, c'mon. You can't tell me this isn't wood worthy" I'm a huge fan of the SportClassic series... all of them. I almost got a Monster back in 2000 when I decided to get a Buell instead (a good decision based how things turned out with the Cyclone). I still want a Ducati one day. |

I was on the same boat in 2001...and chose Buell as well. The decision come down to which one was easier and less expensive to get over the 100hp mark, and had a more extensive dealer network...that was an easy one! My wife favors the Ducs. She likes the Monsters and Sport Classics as well. |

>What have your repairs been on the 1125R? I know you track it The head wrench down at Superbike school found and fixed my sticking throttlebody link. Cost: 1 thank you and not pointing out (while he was bashing Buell engineering) that their ZX6R quit on me the day before. I did have to ride to the dealer twice to get the flash update. Oh, and the dealer put the wrong fuse in the fuse box when they assembled it and I blew it on the 2nd day. I complained about my mirrors, but they seem to have fixed themselves? Vibrations were gone at 1000miles + Throttlemeisters. Strange occasional throttle response (turned out to be normal) was fixed with the $6 part + 'noid removal. No heat to complain about, but I came from an FJR1300 and installed TechSpec early on. Still have poor (IMO) gas mileage, but it does everything else so well I'd rather not mess with it. Tho I will when the new map comes out! 2900miles (commuting mostly) 1 day Keith Code Superbike School (Barber) 1 day Lee Parks ARC school 1 day Blackhawk Farms (Buell 25th) 2 days Hallet Motorsports (track days + race clinic) 1 day GIR Track day + 20min Sportsman race (only 4 laps due to crashes, only 2 counted due to timing of red flags, I led both so I won! ) 1 day CCS races (10min practice, 8 lap SuperStock Unlimited race - crash shortened to 4, 8 lap SuperTwins race) Josh CCS GP #623 |

Thanks Josh... I think the track laps and mileage attest to some great Buell engineering. Good ole USA.. the beauty of the Italian forms cannot be denied, nor the success of Ducati at the track. I can't deny the beauty of pro stock bike on NHRA MAGNIFICENT runs and ET's. For RR seems there is need a bit more HP on a great platform... that will come.
