Every once in a while I see a BadWeB handle that makes me wonder how the person chose it. Sarodude chose me. Just about everyone I know for some reason or another would either call me Saroman or Sarodude. Saro is an uncommon enough name. Sarodude is extremely unlikely to find duplicated. In fact, chances are that if you email sarodude@freakinsicko.hairynakedgrandmothers.org I'd probably wind up with it. But that's another story. How did you get or come up with your handle? -Saro |

Mine choice is more boring and practical I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters, so there were 9 "sweens", I had to go to 2 initials to differentiate from the "crowd", hence mbsween. |

Mine has to do with a group that is not unlike BadWeb or Team Elves. This club instead of liking Buells or racing Buells likes Four Stroke Singles hence Four-Stroke Singles National Owners Club in which my number is 2501. The result is of course fssnoc2501. They are agreat group not unlike the BadWeb if you are into singles. Ray |

I climb utility poles to work on the electric wires. Sometimes I've been told I'm like cat on a pole and I hope that is a compliment, but first I'm told told I'm nuts for going up the poles in the first place<G>. |

Mine is kinda boring.. It's the colors on my Buell, and on my one piece riding suit. Blue and Black. (yeah, I know the suit has white as well.. but that didn't play into it) Simple huh? Sorry, no great story there.. Later, |

My handle is in reference to the other great American made motorcycle, the 2 wheel drive Rokon TrailBreaker. The majority of people have no idea that a 2 wheel drive motorcycle even exists, much less that they have been made in the USA for the past 40 years. Truly a unique machine that will go places that most would never consider. Check out www.rokonworld.com for info |

Chainsaw

ChainSaw...as in "Texas Massacre" I've been using the nick for years. When you use a program for the first time, and it asks for a name, organization, I always have put ChainSaw, Severed Heads, Inc. When I lived in Austin in the 80's, my neighbor had a Doberman he called Chainsaw. I asked why, and he said the only part of the name he could recognized in the German pedegree was "Chainsau". Kinda took a shine to the name back then. |

My best friend is 19 years younger than me, and he refers to me as a crusty old fart. My real name is John, which is way too common, so I picked Crusty. |
Reepicheep

A lot of you probably know who Reepicheep is, others maybe don't. I am a HUGE C.S. Lewis fan (and G.K. Chesterton as well). Originally, I really enjoyed the Chronicles of Narnia stories (i.e. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe), but then gravitated more towards Lewis's heavier more academic work. The older I get, and the less I realize I know, the deeper the Narnia books get, and the more important they seem (along with The Screwtape Letters), and the less important his "academic" high brow work seems. I am inclined to think he might agree. Anyway, of the characters in the stories, Reepicheep was my absolute favorite. He is everthing I aspire to be, and my role model when things get dark, hard, or confusing. He was born of the race that was there with Aslan during his darkest hour (on the stone table), and showed him compassion, service, and love. He is the first into a just fight, and the last into an unjust one. He will defend honor, and deny self. He is the smallest and the weakest, and the last to yield. He is a teacher, a servant, and the most loyal of friends. He would never quit. I just have to stop and ask myself from time to time... what would Reepicheep do? Then I just have to do it.

Mine's pretty straightforward- moved to CA from NY in '78. My buddy Skeeter (how'd he get THAT?) would call and ask "how's things on the left coast, Al?" There ya go. |
