For all you iPhone users who have downloaded the app Dynolicious? It works great in the truck. I haven't figured a good way to use it on the bike. Little movements seem to upset it. Any tips on how to get it to work well with the bike?

Little movements - hmm, like a V-twin vibrating?

I saw it too, and am wondering if it will work on the bike, maybe in a tank bag. But I don't want to spend the $13 to be the guinea pig.

I spent the $13 and am being the guinea pig. Tank bag sounds like a great idea. Use the map pocket. Now I just need a tank bag.

How about just duct-taping one of those little zip-lock snack bags, (they're only a big larger than an iPhone) to your airbox cover. Or maybe figure out a way to place it securely on top of the gas cap - that's a nice flat spot.

Or under the seat, but I don't know if you have to press the buttons or not.

Dynolicious utilizes the accelerometer built in to your iPhone or iPod Touch to sense the motion of your vehicle. This data is sampled as many as one hundred times per second, developing a detailed picture of the car's acceleration. This information is then used to determine the speed of the vehicle and the distance travelled. Due to the unique hardware integrated into the iPhone, this can all be done with no setup, wires, or extra equipment!
Sounds like you could just put it in your pocket.

On the website it says:

Q: What is the best way to mount the iPhone when testing?
A: Mounting is a concern for accurate results. Unfortunately, mounting is very vehicle-dependent. On some cars, a cupholder is fine, as long as the iPhone is wedged pretty well and does not move around. For in-house testing, we have a cradle which mounts to the windshield with suction cups. This took a bit of custom work to set up, but does the job nicely. Any off-the-shelf cradle which fits the iPhone should work, as long as it holds the iPhone facing the front of the car, and does not bounce around.

I'm not sure how you can keep it facing the front of the bike in your pocket. I think someone needs to make a handlebar mount or something that attaches to the airbox cover...

It doesn't measure anything useful in the pocket.
