Not me my daughter. She had said something last year about wanting to learn to ride but it kind of died out with school and other things going on. Last week we went for a ride and she said she wanted to ride on her owen. I said ok we went by Tillys and signed her up for riders edge class this week.After we got home I let her ride my gs500 around the yard. First time on a street bike she did very well. She took the class mon, tues and wed.I went down and watched her ride to course. She was doing good. One of the instructors walked over and said she was a very smooth rider.She got her licence yesterday and we rode about 50 miles out here in the country. She had a grin ajax wouldnt take off.This morning she said dad lets ride so off we went 100 miles and a lot of fun. We were about 4 miles from the house went around a curve and a deer was in the road. She slowed and was fine. After a while we swapped bikes and she rode the Buell and fell in love. I have created a monster. The first time we left the house I felt so proud. My 2 older sons showed no intrest in bikes   | ||

haha, that's awesome I took the Riders Edge course as well, and I learned so much then I rode to Homecoming and back from Massachusetts a month later, haha good for her, though | ||

The first time we left the house I felt so proud. My 2 older sons showed no intrest in bikes You did good Glenn. This will make a lot of difference in her life. More than it would have for your sons. | ||

congrats and i hope you can get her involved in the badness as well. my daughter worked at a dealer so they paid for the course so she could get her endorsement . and she's done extremely well. although she doesn't have anything to ride right now cause she moved up to wisconsin and she only had our bikes to ride. she did take her boyfriends roadking out for a ride around the neighborhood the other day. and the crazy thing about that is, the bike has pretty high ape hangers on it. looks like she has all the gear needed for the most part but remind her that she is invisible out there and no one can see her so don't try to look anyone in the eye to make contact when she comes up on a car that's getting ready to pull out, just keep an eye on the front wheel to see if their gonna take off. | ||

Thanks all and a brp ride is in the works this summer.The only problem is she wants to trade bikes when we go to ride! I see a future Bueller here. | ||

Massgirl She sure had that after I let her ride my buell the first time. She had riden about 40 miles and I stopped for gas. Then ask her If she wanted to trade rides.She said yes and I explaided it had twice the horsepower and a lot better brakes she did great and made me proud. | ||

Haha, that's so awesome. I have a Blast, and after the first group ride I did, which was actually at HC and was to the dragstrip, I couldn't stop smiling eiher...and my mom called it the Buell smile...and I wasn't the only one there who had it, haha. Now I just need something with more power, haha...well, maybe in another year. | ||

Awesome! I hope my daughter gets into bikes. She is 17 months old, so she has a little time. She does like to sit on my bike (XB9SX). And she makes "vroom vroom" sounds when she sees it. I am going to get her a little tykes motorcycle (just a push-around bike) for her birthday in February... maybe I can plant a seed in her mind with that, lol. | ||

I would love my daughter to get into bikes (She will be 1 yr old next wednesday). Not sure what her mom will have to say about it though  But I have some time to work up to it. | ||

My daughter is 9 and she loves to go out on every bike and quad I have. With all the rotten things our kids are confronted with each and every day Iam so grateful for what motorcycling has done for our relationship. Thats great your daughter is on her own now. I can only imagine the pride you have for her. Another well -heeled rider in the world.I LOVE IT!! Best wishes. | ||
