Ok, I know it's a Buell forum and I as you all know I had 2 Buells, but this is for my father who's 03 Wide Glide is not running and he's here on vacation with my mother 2000 miles from home. Ok, here's what it's doing. It's running intermittently where it will start sometimes and run but then cut off with no warning. I know we have fuel and air and the coil is good along with the ignition module. Checked the timing sensor and cleaned some metal off of it last time and it started and ran for about 5-10 minutes and then just cut off with no warning. I'm leaning towards maybe that sensor being bad, but I'm at a complete loss right now. Please help as it's ruining our vacations. |

Ok, I did a little research and found that the dying or running and then dying without warning or just not starting seem to be a culprit of a bad crank position sensor. Has anyone else ran into this? |

I have not heard of it on that bike but those are symptoms of a bad crank/cam sensor. |

New, that's what I'm leaning towards with what I'm reading. Nothing has zeroed in perfectly with the symptoms, but some have gotten really close. |

Ok, I know it's a Buell forum Yes, but we also have an HD Section. Check out the Critical Mass Section. Maybe someone there can help you as well. Good luck. |

Solved, turns out it was the Crank Position Sensor. Put a new one in and it fired right up without even a hicup. |

Well DJ, wasn't totally shooting in the dark. Did lot's of searching at 2 am to see if others have had these problems. Found many close to what we were having and it seemed the logical way to go. |
