WooHoo... The birth of my daughter 11 months ago really put a crimp on my riding. Went from 15-20k miles per year to 1.5k, and most of that was going to the office. So this year I was going to ride more, but alas summer and I only had 100 miles on the bike. I needed new tires front and back, needed service, and all the like. Then my garage door springs broke and bent the door rails on 1 side, and broke them on the other. Odd size door == custom order, which meant > 1 month whereas I couldn't get the bike out of the garage (I tried to go through the den/gameroom, but couldn't easily make the turn near the stairs. So new garage door got installed, 2 days later bike was getting new tires, new fork oil, and the works (And I getting poorer and poorer ). But I picked it up this morning and had a great ride into the office. And a quick ride at lunch. I put Diablo's on it, and so far the limited amount of turning I have on them (between scrubbing the newness out and a couple of exit ramps ), I seem to really like them. Now if only it wouldn't rain so darn much.. (I ride in the rain all the time, but commuting to work carrying computer and the like in the backpack doesn't work so well in the rain). Anyway. Sorry for the interruption. -Patrick |

some twiddling with the suspension and it much happier in the turns. Right side chicken strip now down to 1/8" and left side getting closer (my loop this morning was way heavier on the right handers it seems).. Much Bueno Good! -Patrick |
