Headed up for the first time next Thursday to Sunday. Anyone have any good roads to ride up there? Good bars, restaurants etc? |

Laconia is much nicer once all the bikers leave. Other than that, it's wall-to-wall traffic jams. |

Next Friday&Saturday are the worse.Takes hours to get to the Weirs. Those are the days' to get out and ride the mountains. Or better yet,get to the track for some of the races. The supermotard races were the best last year. |

Isn't Laconia THIS week?? It always ENDS on Father's Day, and this Sunday is Father's Day... Maybe it won't be so crowded when you're up there after all! Hang on... just went to the official site. Looks like it STARTS on Father's Day this year. Wonder why the change? It ALWAYS began right after Americade ended, and ended on Father's Day. |

Short loop or long loop? Are you staying in/around Laconia? Short Rt from Laconia = Rt3 north to Rt112 east(Kancamagus Hwy) to Rt16 north to Rt302 west back to Rt3 south. Long from Laconia = Rt3 north to Rt112 east to Rt16 north, in Conway catch Rt113 north runs with 302 east for a short spell. Watch for left Rt 113 north splits from 302east jest after crossing into Maine follow Rt113 north to Rt2 west back in to N.H. Rt16 south to Rt302 west back to Rt3 south. Have fun nice roads up there. |

Over the years, I have over 3,500 miles on in the Laconia area......I still have not seen it all by any means. It's a hoot if you don't have to be accommodating to a group...........go as you please, leave as you please. My plan the last couple of years was be there for the entire duration of the events, get up early and go for breakfast, hit the roads to who know where and see all the attractions along the way. Hit the show/racing events in the afternoon for a couple hours...longer if it's interesting and then travel a different route back to the cabin. Friday/Saturday was reserved for the ATC group rides. |

It always ENDS on Father's Day, Yea I thought the same thing so a couple of months ago I booked a weekend trip for me and my family up in upstate NY for NEXT weekend. I am going with a bunch of other badwebbers and their families. When planning I specifically said that I couldn't do Father's Day weekend cause Bike Week ends that day and I've been going to Laconia with my best friend for the last 13 years. Needless to say but NO Bike Week for me this year. Really pissed me off that they broke tradition this year and are having it start on Father's day. |

I plan on hitting the Kancamagus HWY and Mt. Washington. Riding up with two others, one on a Softail and the other on Victory. I might just have to break off from them to go on some of those roads the way I'd like to ride. |
