I am planning on going to Homecoming from Long Island, and what with the price of gas, I was hoping to join forces with another Buelligan to share expenses. Anyone else planning on going? I have a small trailer that could take two bikes in a pinch. It is about a thousand miles and 16 hours from Sag Harbor to East Troy. I would probably leave early Tues, and stop around Cleveland, and get there Wednesday afternoon before the end of the check in at 4 pm. I would return Monday, stopping again half way, and get back Tuesday afternoon. Anyone? |

I'd be tempted, but I'm allergic to putting a perfectly functional motorcycle on a trailer... |

Thank you, jamiec (although I did once transport my S2 from Cali to NY , in chunks, in the back of a Ford Station wagon...while relocating) gentleman jon: Why not just ride it? |

Jon, if you want to stop in South Bend, IN on your way back your welcome to crash on the couch here at my apartment, shower, etc. Granted it's only about 3-4 hours away from East Troy, figured I'd offer. |

GJ......... Talk to me as time gets closer. I *may* be able to help. I have one person that is thinking of going with me but that will be a last minute decision for him. I am trucking the bike if he goes and could have you meet me in NY somewhere and load your bike into my trailer. It would be 3 in my truck but I will be driving an extra cab F150. |

Gentleman jon- There's a good chance that one of the Hudson valley fellas would join you- If I were into brand-rallies I'd take you up on the offer, frankly. |

LOL I would join ya but my Gsxr might not fit in with all the fine running 1125's. Maybe next year when I might fit in. |

GJ: Young enough to be riding a Buell instead of a Geezer Glide! |

Wilson - Thanks for the generous offer. As you suspect, I would want to do about 8 hour days, but you never know:-). Jim - That could be great. Please keep me in mind as the time approaches. Rich- I don't ride no damn Geezer Glide!! ( It's a Dyna:-). Anyway, it just won't be a real 25th without you, and I am sure you will fit in just fine with your Gixxer, just like you always do - in the front! |

I will Jon. Or send me a PM as time gets near as I may forget. If I go it alone I may ride the bike but if you are definitely going and will split the costs then I will take the truck. |

I am definitely going. I am registered, got the hotel room, told my friends, put new tires on, got the oil and filter, and am even giving some real serious consideration to washing the bike. Don't want to disappoint Erik!

Jon- Did you get the new oil and filter for the scoot, or for the vehicle pulling the trailer? |

Tramp - Got the oil and filter for the scoot. I let Jiffy Lube service the tow vehicle. I don't have one of those pits in my driveway. Don't know why!

Jon send me a PM and we'll ride up together from NY. I have to map it out but we need to figure out a meeting place that is good for the both of us. That is if you can haul all of your stuff on your bike till we meet. I have a place we can crash at just outside of Detroit if need be. Dana......... Your place is DEFINITELY on my list of places to visit on this trip. Wouldn't miss it for anything. |
