That's how much it cost me to pump 3.86 gallons of unleaded premium into my XB12Ss this afternoon... |

There is a benefit from high fuel prices: fewer asshats on the road. |

Is it just me or does the world seem to be imploding because of gas/oil prices? Its a nasty domino effect to the rest of the products we need to live. Gas jumped from 3.93 here last night to 4.23 for regular. Now that's crazy. |

Its just the Memorial Day weekend price increase. It will go up, then gradually start going back down through next week never to go below $4.00 per gallon again. Welcome to the Brave New World! Opportunities abound. |

Yep... apparently chrysler knows something, promising $2.99 gas for the next three years. Maybe I was just dreaming but I was hoping it would go down below that before the next three years. |

We have cheapened the value of our dollar in relation to the world currencies. This cheap dollar buys less oil than it used to. This is one of the big factors in the high price of gasoline. The economic policies of the past 8 years are the reasons our money has less value. Whether you know it or not you have been taxed and are continuing to be taxed by the government indirectly because of their spending beyond their means. Your money is being stolen from you in the amount your money's value has declined. They tell you "no tax increase" all the while stealing your money from you. |

You do realize that free gas offer for 3 years is only for 12,000 miles per year, yes? |

Yeah.. I'm predicting $5.00 a gallon regular by Thanksgiving. Has anyone brought the idea of working from home or working 4 10 hour days with their management group yet? That might work for a percentage of the population. My management team was not receptive to either idea. |

The Defense industry has been on a 9/80 workweek for quite a few years - 9 days, 80 hours. 3 day weekend every other weekend. Saves a little on gas and that 3 day weekend is kinda nice. Tell your bosses that it is working for millions of folks around the country. It is a good thing. It initially met with some resistance by the union leaders on the shop floor but when they put it to a vote, it won approval by a HUGE margin. Works well for salary or hourly. |

Please refrain from throwing gasoline into our harbors and waterways. Throw it on politicians instead. |

Our plant works two shifts,4 ten hour days. Being a tech, I have to work 5 eight hour days. The second shift gets a 50 cent an hour pay differential for working the night shift. I asked for a pay differential for having to drive to work 5 days to get the same wages that others get in four days. I also told them to shut down all together on Fridays and tell all the buyers and vendors that they have Monday thru Thursday to to get their business done. It's not like we're a hospital and people "need" us to be open on Friday. They told me to pound it............. |

I paid over $8/gallon equivalent last week for gasoline in Germany. Over there, diesel is a little bit cheaper than regular unleaded. Our company's biggest issue with 4-10 work week is having to be hear to answer the phone for customers. Much of the manufacturing floor has gone to 4-10's, but it doesn't look good for those of us in engineering (or any office job). |

I wonder if it would be cheaper to run 87 and add our own octane boost. Would this harm the bike? |

I wonder if it would be cheaper to run 87 and add our own octane boost. Would this harm the bike? One problem would be they put eythonal in the low octane gas and I stay away from that sh** if I was you |

I guessing when it goes over 5 dollars a gallon is the magic number when bad things start happening. |

I guessing when it goes over 5 dollars a gallon is the magic number when bad things start happening. Most "experts" are saying it will take upwards of $7.00 before the shyte hits the fan! |

I don't expect any fan-hitting until the oil execs lose their ability to "not recall" what they actually made last year. Once their wallets feel the tickle (either through government regulation, consumer embargo, or whatever), we'll see change...but not before that. |
