over 4000 "battle cries" but clicking through them, looks like most of them just rubber stamp the corporate line... pity there was some creative license that alot of people passed by... well no surprises I suppose. Where is that ad about the flock of black SHEEP from Sturgis last year? |

hey, any of you wanna talk stereotypes? i get a kick out of observing sportbike riders (many of them Buell riders, by the way) with every bit of CF known to man hanging off their bike, high-buck/high-zoot riding gear including sliders, clip-ons, rear-sets, every indication that they're the next coming of Nicky Hayden, and tires with chicken strips a mile wide. Haha - I was waiting for my food at the drive-in up the street from my place and coudln't help but notice how all the kids with the sportbikes are EXACTLY like the stereotypical harley rider. They rode there, parked the bikes and stared at them, talked about what new cf goody they added, or the pair of guys with matching new 'busas among them... It was just funny, and I coudln't help but giggle. Then, woudln't you know it, a few more were pulling into the parking lot. One, one a new Honda 600, was going too slow or something, got a little wobbly wobbly mid-turn and just dropped the bike on the ground. It was sad and funny all at the same time. Reminds me of the time at Americade riding in the High Gaps in VT - stopped a scenic parking lot (me and my buddy were the only ones there at first), then a rumbling group of HDs pulled it. Among them was a guy on a brand new (or at least looked it) Road King who pulled in, stopped and immediatly fell over. Actually... going to Americade really opens my eyes to the amount of people who are on motorcycles that really shoudln't be. On a BMW demo ride, a guy asks the guide, "How do I get this thing to turn?" |
