My girlfriend decided to buy the KZ750 I was trying to get her not to buy. I left my bike at work and she took me to pick up her bike. i was following an SUV and was slowing down with it, locked up rear up on a painted crosswalk. I rearended the SUV. I don't remember much other than the front brake being useless and thinking that my head is going to hurt. I went over the bars and I was absolutely positive that I smashed the rear window with my noggin. I walked away with bruised shins. The truck was fine other than where the tire scuffed the bumper. The bike it screwed. It wasn't a hard hit, but it needs new fork tubes, handlebars, brake lever, and gas tank. Somewhere along the line, my crotch/pelvis dented the tank pretty well. I'm a little stiff, but all in all, I'm doind good. |

Somewhere along the line, my crotch/pelvis dented the tank pretty well. So you really do have brass balls... Sucks about the bike, but atleast you're ok. |

So not to make a joke out of this, but do you still have a girlfriend after this? Did she think you did it on purpose? |

She was behind me when I started to slide. She watched me summersault over the bike. I don't think that she thinks I did it on purpose. |

I didn't check my mail. My night consisted of waiting for a tow truck, convincing the officer not to file an accident report, taking some Tylenol PMs with a beer and hitting the sack. I'll check it when I get home. I feel fine. I've got a couple bruises that developed overnight from the soft parts of the body armor, inside thighs and cuts on both shins. I'm pretty stiff though. |

Glad you are OK. What happened to the KZ? Give Keith a nudge in the Riders Edge direction. I think it would help his confidence. |

Sorry to hear about the crash. This would be a good place to post a warning about riding 'other' bikes after living on a Buell. Older bikes don't grip, stop, turn, and just suck at handling. I nearly lost a '79 CB750F I was test riding last summer coming to a stop at a light. Its technology was good way back then, but now, not so good. Hope ya heal fast! |

Keith has already signed up for the class. The forks are bent at the tree, the brake lever is bent and my balls of steel dented the tank. I've sourced the front end already. I'll have it back on the road fairly inexspensively |

He won't risk his bike in a track environment. Do they lend bikes? |

Tell me about it. I ride an XB9SX and a KLR-250. The first stop on either bike, after riding the other for a bit, is pretty exciting... |

He won't risk his bike in a track environment. Do they lend bikes? He would only need to ride his bike on the first and last session of the day. The rest of the day he could demo Buells. The novice class is very controlled and starts SLOW. I would recommend it to anyone. |

Not really sure... The back was fishtailing, the front was ineffective. |
