The best way to charge the battery is to unhook the terminals so the bike is not in the loop. Red + / Black - on the battery terminals, it is best not to ground through the chassis for charging. Tenders have a harness that stay on the battery and hook in via a plug. | ||

+1, go straight to the battery. You won't hurt the bike as long as you leave the ignition switch off. |
