I think it's a cyl. head temp sensor for your fuel injection. |

Okay- I guess that was the placement on early X1's? My '02 temp. sensor is more toward the center of the head... |

Huh? The O2 sensor is in the rear exhaust pipe. |

Yes, that would be a 99 or 00 temp sensor. My 01 has it in the middle of the rear cylinder head. It sure looks easier to replace in that configuration |
