Does anyone here have one? I have been riding at the dunes on quads a lot lately but I would prefer a bike to a quad. There is a new Aprilia dealer in St. George Utah and I stopped in this morning. They had one on the floor and it got me thinking two things. 1) it is really sweet looking and 2) that 550 should have plenty of power for the sand. Just wondering if anyone here has seat time on one and what their impressions are. Just a aside note I rode to the shop with a guy on a BMW and another on a GSXR 750. The sales staff was really excited to see my bike (they sell Moto Guzzi in addition to Aprilia). The others seemed pretty bummed that the odd little Buell was getting all the attention. That is the dealer that should have Buell. People that are excited to see or sell them. A couple miles down the road at the Harley dealer I can't get the sales or service staff to give me the time of day and I bought the damn bike there. | ||

Check out the Aprilia forum at AF1 motorsport. They have a section dedicated to the 450/550. There you should find all the info you need. Hope that helps Rene |
