Geeze guys, we're going camping. Next thing you'll want one of those huge motorhomes too. BTW, I didn't get an answer yet on the best route from Chattanooga. |

Hey Fat, if I come down should I bring the XBOX? I'll have to fisgure out where a power cord is going ot be spliced. I had thought of that but thought better of it. The formula simply doesn't allow the additional element: "Eat, ride, eat, ride, eat, drink, sleep, repeat." By the time I'm done with the drink, I NEED to sleep. Course, I do have a video projector. S-Video out to projector against a wall. RCA out to 3.5mm plug to Boostaroo to cassette adapter into vehicle audio. Yeah, like I said, I've though about it. |

BTW, I didn't get an answer yet on the best route from Chattanooga. This is the route I usually take. Not very original, but I really like running by the Ocoee. http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wl |

2 WEEKS! I'm thinking I might do the loop this afternoon, it's supposed to be extra nice today. So, if I bring a set of tires with me to MB-V, I can get them mounted no problem. That's awesome because I'd rather finish these off before I mount the new set. |

the ocoee is a nice ride if there isn't that much traffic and that's always a hit or miss. |

edit: dagum google maps is not doing the links correctly... Iamike, if you go to google maps and get directions from Chattanooga to Suches, GA, it gives a pretty good route. (Message edited by ratyson on March 12, 2008) |

I am still trying to figure out my route. I can take all back roads from here to Suches, or I can go 72->24 into Chattaboogy, then from there to Suches. The mileage is the same for either route. I do get a bit worrysome about my trailer's bearings (for no obvious reason) when zinging down the highway. It could be because I don't have the ability to go less than 70mph on the highway. At least the back roads keep me to around 60 or so most of the time. |

Hey all - does anyone know if there's a good area to set up a hammock at TWO? I need an area with some trees with not a lot of brush and crap on the ground. The ground itself can be all rocky and uneven, just need to be clear of vegatation. Thoughts? |

Mark, the campground is extra nice. Lots of room, and trees for hammocks all around. |

Awesome. I have a couple possibilities going for transportation down there and a place to stay, but I hate to rely on someone, and more so, I hate to be an impedence to anyone (I'd have to make someone meet me somewhere to get loaded up). So if something doesn't fit together nicely for me, I'll likely just take some extra time and ride the whole way down. I have a 3-peice Givi luggage set waiting for me that I'm going to get mounted up as soon as possible (details on that later ). After that, I'll get the camping stuff put together and map out a route, and of course make sure everything fits in the new bags. For anyone that's interested, if I ride down, I'll be taking the following route (more or less): Out of Albany, spending a lot fo time on Route 30, then some time on I-81 through PA, then the entire length of Skyline Drive, then the entire length of the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway, then onto Suches. Should be a great ride. |

Just don't let go... You'll probably still be at least "attached" to the bike. I have ecmspy on my laptop, but I have not made a cable yet. Should I bring it? I think the directlink cable will work. Just need to be either RS232 or USB->RS232. |

Yeah, we'll surely have a 50 or three. There's actually an organized 50 race around the loop on Saturday (unrelated to March Badness). If you have one that's street legal, it should be a blast. |

I'd love to learn how to wheelie too, but 500 miles away from home is NOT where I want to learn. Riding down there with Mark was soo challanging, looks so easy, want to dump clutch... must... not... dump... clutch... oops dumped clutch... weee.... must... restrain.... self... I'll have my laptop, if somebody wants to bring the program and cable, you all can use it for your mods. |
