We have QueensRyche, they get Elton John... I think that says quite a bit about the demographics of the brands |

I do know that Bass player Tom Hamilton of the band has throat cancer. I hope all is well. |

If Harley was smart they'd fill the stage with the likes of Dick Dale, The Reverend Horton Heat, The Dusty 45's, Los Straitjackets, Deke Dickerson, The Retroliners, Southern Culture on the Skids, and Deadbolt. Do yourself a favor and get away from the mainstream crap you've heard over and over!!! |

The year after the Elton John debacle I attended the BMW rally in Lima, Ohio. Their special guest entertainer was George Thorogood. Now that's some biker entertainment I tell you that! That boy can git 'er done! |

HD has some huge names...keep in mind, the brand identity has gone more than a little mainstream, so the entertainment needs to as well. Pick up this month's HogTales if you're in your dealership: The HOG 25th concert: Joan Jett DB Bryant Sugarland Aerosmith Kid Rock The 105th Anniversary listings: ZZ Top Daughtry Black Crowes Puddle of Mudd Dierks Bentley Peter Frampton Los Lonely Boys Blue Oyster Cult War Foghat Joan Jett Gary Allan Buddy Guy Blind Melon Cameo Dr. John Black Rebel Motorcycle Club The Crave and...Springsteen and the E St. Band. I used to work in concert production. These folks spent some MONEY getting these names, and it's actually a pretty impressive list and assortment. I suspect it'll appeal to 99.9% of the folks in attendance...maybe they learned from the Elton John thing. |

Isn't there a gate charge to get onto the Summerfest grounds? I think it's $25 for H-D 25th tickets, and $55-$60 for the HOG tickets, and I'm not sure about the Summerfest gate passes. I can't do anything until the end of April anyway, hope that they're not sold out by then. |
