Good call on Keb Mo. I have three of his but like his self titled CD about the best. Don't forget Robin Trower... giving "Long Misty Days" a spin right now. I've been in so many blues grooves that it's hard to say which I like the best. I've been known to serve up a cocktail of Etta James, Lightnin' Hopkins and Trower on the 3 disc changer. There's so much room to move around in the blues you don't have to pick one style, there's groove for every mood. Deborah Coleman is also a fav of mine. I turned brother Ferris on to her too. : )

Oh, hell yeah. Isn't he due for another hit? The guy just keeps going and going. In the 60's, he taught John Lennon some harmonica right before the 'Love Me Do' sessions. In the 70's, he broke big as a solo artist for the first time (Givin' It Up For Your Love) and it seemed like every ten years he'd have a hit on the charts again. Talk about paying your dues... the guy has one foot across the demarcation point for 'Legend' status.

Damn good call, there.

I have Johnny Lang on my ipod. Just listening to him while I brushed my teeth this morning. Of course I have SRV. I have been listening to Chris Botti for quite the while now(for those who may into brass as well). Well, maybe he is more along a jazz vibe.Ray Charles makes me smile. Norah Jones is mellow.

If you liked the initial ZZ Top stuff, you need to listen to the last couple albums. Not something for someone who thought that Eliminator, Afterburner or Recycler was what they were really about.

I can't believe it, but I actually saw Alvin Lee and Ten Years Later (his new road band at the time) at the Strand Theater in Marietta, Georgia in 1986. He gave a great show more than living up to his reputation and of course he did the 15 minute version of "Goin' Home".

Loved every minute of that show... what I can remember of it. It was smack in the middle of my 'lost years'.

One of my favorite duets of all time is Delbert and Bonnie Raitt spitting fire in "Just Like Rollin' a Seven Everytime I Roll the Dice". I got the title wrong, but I just love those lyrics.

That reminds me- there's a great band called Nashville P*ssy- not blues, but heavy-duty RAWWKKKK with 2 hot biker lookin chicks playing bass and guitar. The lead singer looks like the vigilante from Raising Arizona- a big badass 1%er for sure. Not to be missed if you can see them!
