Smoking is banned in pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants, on and in any form of public transport, government buildings, hospitals and god knows where else. The combustion engine is not entirely exempt from the smoking laws, yes laws, either. Heavy smoking on the public highway is an offense. There's lots of talk recently of making a law against smoking whilst in control of a motor vehicle too. The hypocrisy of it all is even more disgusting than the filthy habit itself. Within the Houses of Parliament there is a bar exclusively for the use of Parliamentary figureheads, which means the law makers themselves. This bar is the only bar in the UK that is excluded from the smoking ban laws. As far as I'm aware though, no one yet has smoked a Desmosedici in the Houses of Parliament, though there have been many a 'wrinkly old pipe' smoked in there by the ladies of the night.
