theres the Flstsb, a flat black floor board springer... Thats for the chrome couch cowboys. I would love to see them back on track with the Dirty 450 SM/DS. And for the sport touring 1125R, just steal the bags off of the new Honda intercepter and call it good |

i still say the dirty 450 was never on track, but nothing more than a cover for the 1125r. |

Just looked at Buell.com and saw the XB12XT which appears to be nothing more that a XB12X with the bags, taller windscreen and lower seat already installed. Also, you can get it in Red with black wheels..... Is this all that we can expect from this years meeting? |

Looks like they lowered the seat height. " Seat Covered in a 2-tone high performance fabric, the 30.7” high rider’s seat is spacious, comfortable and allows good movement for aggressive riding." |

Very odd - the XB12X has 47mm forks, the XB12XT has a Firebolt front fender and 43mm tubes.?.? Z |

The seat's not new, they lowered the whole bike. The ground clearance is slightly less than the standard Uly. Looks like a lot of people got what they asked for. Also states it has a dual rate rear spring, and it's got Pirelli Diablo Strada tires too. Here's a real interesting tid-bit: it does not have the offset forks introduced on the 08 Uly. What's up with that? Wow, it lost 40 lbs of dry weight and gained 41 lbs of capacity too. |

Hugh - I think you have it backwards - it gained 40lb dry, and lost 40lb capacity (same gross weight). I like it. It should answer a lot of customer concerns about the current Uly - tall seat height and "goofy" front end look being the most common, at least at our dealer. Looks like a 12Ss with a Uly tail, bags, and flyscreen. Very cool. As far as a mid-model-year meeting...yep, this is probably all there is. If there were anything else, it'd be on the website with the XT. |

Wonder which turning radius it uses, the 2008 ULY or the 2007 ULY. Or something else!? |

I think Rat nailed it. A Uly body and Ss frame and suspension was what I really wanted when I bought my Uly. I figured such a bike would put Uly sales to shame. I'm a bit surprised at how long this took. With the front end based off the Ss it should handle more like the Ss. Bummer for me tho. A suspension upgrade is a bit costly. |

Hugh - I think you have it backwards - it gained 40lb dry, and lost 40lb capacity (same gross weight). Joe, I guess I got the specs backwards. It makes sense that the bags and brackets would weigh about 40 lbs empty, so that probably explains the difference. |

I bought my '06 from Daves (Appleton) already outfitted with bags and R front fender. I bought a taller windshield while there and swapped back and forth with shorter one on way back to FL to see which one I liked best. While in WI some guy at a drive in lunch place saw it. Who knows, maybe he liked its looks.

Theres your factory sport touring bike. I guess they consider the guys riding that wont be needing the more aggressive tires and eagle beak for off road riding. Does put the "uly" an inch lower, still should have gotten the 08 neck angle increase though. I think we will be stealing a few more of the BMW riders with it, and maybe a couple of v-strom conquests too. And of course the guy that wants a tour bike that isnt "old" enough for a Harley Bagger. |

I'm seriously thinking of trading my '06 Uly on the 12XT. My only gripe about the Uly is the height when stopping/starting and the conditions are iffy (i.e. slippery footing, way off camber road, fully loaded with a passenger). I've run out of leg more than once... |

that deffinitely make me lean toward the xt right now. i think having a sport tourer right now would be nicer than the 1125, besides, i don't need to kill myself anytime soon. |

Neil, I witnessed you almost kill yourself on a Lightning, I am sure you can finish the job on the 1125. If the XT is anywhere as fun and versatile as my former 12X, I know you will love it. |

>>>>The least they could do is give me SOME credit for it Then you'd get all pissy if you found out the XT was actually designed 7 months before the regular Uly.

"Be the first on the block with accessories for the Softail Cross Bones and Sportster XR1200 Models. Designed and engineered in concert with the motorcycle, these accessories add style and functionally to your customers new ride" Hard to imagine that they are doing accessories for a bike that they arent building, arent releasing... Where is my piggy bank, time for a deposit. |
