Mikej... It is only too late in April. As far as the event in concerned everything is extremely informal. We will be running Buell demo rides from TWO on Saturday and Sunday (March 29th and 30th). However, the event is much more than that. Basically, Buellers from all over the world will simply use it as an excuse to get together and ride the best roads in the country all day and tell lies by the campfire all night. If you are into camping TWO has plenty of space. If not, there are cabins for rent all over the Suches area. If you need more formal accommodations there are hotels in nearby Dahlonega. |

Additionally, there is a run to the Tail of the Dragon that departs from TWO Friday morning. |

Ahhhhh, the top secret trick of posting the info at the top of the page trick, sort of like a post-it note stuck to my forehead, I'm awake now. Thanks. |

I'm awake now. Thanks. You didn't miss it...I just put it up there as you're one of many that have asked the same question. Hope you can make it. It truly is a lot of fun. After MBIV, Buelltoberfest was born this past October. Beware! |

Per Mapquest: Total Est. Time: 13 hours, 39 minutes Total Est. Distance: 821.20 miles
Seems doable as a long weekend thing. So I can plan for next year (or this year) Is Friday a big day, or is it just a setup day, is it better to get there on a Thursday night or do people not really start rolling in until later on Friday? Same question but reverse direction for Sunday, is there stuff happening or are people basically heading out or do folks stay Sunday night as well? |

thursday nights a good time to get there cause friday makes for a better run to the dragon. no real weekend traffic is what i noticed last year. besides, the best way to make the event bigger is to expand the time. |

I'll be there Thursday, but I think I'm going to run the local roads this year. The Ohio crew will hit the Dragon on the way there and I may go back home that way. I think I missed out on some local fun last year and the Dragon tends to be a a$$hole magnet. I should know, I've been there a bunch.... |

"why wait til next year?" Schedule and budget, looking into it though. Who knows what the weather will be like here at departure time, anything from 6' of snow to sunny and 70°F. |

I'll know more after this weekend. If 6ish was noonish it would avoid having to add in a Wednesday off as well. Here to Columbus: "Total Est. Time: 7 hours, 46 minutes Total Est. Distance: 476.00 miles" |

Mikej, my work schedule 'may' prevent me from leaving at the scheduled time with the caravan. I would be interested in riding down after work on Thursday (Friday-Monday has been approved)if I can't take Thursday off. I'd be looking for someone to ride down with if they're on a similar schedule. I would probably put us/myself leaving Columbus around 6pm and riding straight through arriving super early Friday AM allowing us/myself to sleep for a bit before the Dragon on Friday... 6 AM leaving Orient (Columbus) Should be in Lexington around 9:30 From Lexington to The Dragon should arrive around 2:30, eat lunch, Ride the Dragon and then head to Suches. Its about 2.5 hours to Suches form the Dragon and the sun should set around 7:15.... it would be nice to set the tent up in the light of day. |
