The great wall looks pretty impressive, and the toboggan run down looks like a lot of fun!

Looks like some interesting characters to spend halloween with, their costumes are some-
thing else too.

Great pics. Interesting pics of the toboggan. You can tell that the attorneys haven't proliferated there yet. Can you imagine something like that here?

It would be covered with nerf.

Very interesting Halloween pics. : D

I have your profile pic as one of my screensaver shots. It's one of my favorites!

We do have one of those toboggan runs here in Gatlinburg, TN - except it's a concrete track. It's loads of fun!

don't you have to have a facebook account to look at anything facebook?
there's a choice, when its your own pics, to send a "public" link

LIABILITY on that toboggan thing
it was about ALL i could think of on the way down, this would *never* exist in the USA. there's nothing to keep you from flying off the track!

its actually almost a mile (1500 meters) of sliding. you can get some good speed while going and brake to a complete stop (to take pics of the "no stopping" sign), there's even banked turns!

in standard dora style, i decided that i should just take the rest of it one handed (even though i'd never been on the chute before), and filmed a really fun 32 second video of the last part of the slide -- am loading it to youtube now

halloween
what can i say, the folks were definitely interesting - it was a fun night!

thx,
D

When I did that slide there were guys waving at me to slow down on every third turn. Girls get special treatment in China.

irideabuell and oldog - thanks! i am having a nice time here!

cowboy - i'm only stuck on buells, dogs, and trucks, is that better?

ducxl - just doing my part to make the world a better place

ft_bstrd - are you saying you don't like my new hairdo?

tripper - nov is slloooooow tourist season and i also went on a weekday. there were lots of places on the wall where i was the only person. on the slide - there was only 1 attendant! but seriously, even with guys waving you to slow down --- what are they going to do, jump on and tackle you? just ignore all the silly waving next time!

in xi'an, just visited the terracotta warriors,
D

there is a slide like that in colorado. cant remember which ski resort(during the summer), think it might have been winter park. it is really fun, and yes if you dont brake enough you will come out of the shoot, lol
