http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/superbike/yamaha-tesser act-hybrid-motorcycle-for-superheroesbadassesusno- 307966.php According to MSN, Yamaha has already promised to make this a production vehicle. When that happens, I'm jumping off the Buell ship. I don't care about corners, low end torque, American ingenuity.... this thing is freakin' AWESOME, and I will have it. (...and when I get one, I'll plaster a big Autobot symbol on it and mount a laser cannon up front...) ~SM |

I would imagine it to be in the ballpark of the racing ATVs, no? ~SM |

Racing atv's are selling for about $6500. I bet that Yammi will come in close to $15k. It is a hybrid too so just imagine what the batteries will cost. Very neat concept tho. I doubt I would dump the Buell for it though. |

I read another article about it that claimed a choice of engines: hybrid and standard gasoline. I wouldn't want a hybrid. How are racing ATVs only selling for $6k? Pitiful little dual sport bikes are going for nearly that much, with only half the parts!? I would expect the Tessie to be around $12, if they wanted to sell it. But who knows? ~SM |

It's safety wired from the factory then? Somehow I doubt that it's "race ready" in any other fashion than "Well... It fits in a grid slot, can move and doesn't break any rules...". |
