Wanna saddle up? I'm seriously considering a month trip during the summer of 2009 or 2010 that way theres time to save up and prepare. And I was just curious if anyone else would be up for this kind of adventure. Andy |

It's something I would definitely be interested in. I won't be back in the US until early-mid 09, but assuming everything was alright... I would love to go! Phil |

What kind of ride would it be? Uly required, or street bike acceptable? A trip like this to Alaska is something I absolutely want to do in my life. I'm 100% interested, but it is impossible to say whether my bike or vacation time would be up for it then. |

Anyone would be welcome. The more the merrier in my opinion. I think the hardest part is finding the people who'd share the same enthusiasm. My plan is to set aside enough money to cover my bills for the month, and then the money needed to cover expenses while on the road. Anything after that is the adventure. And if I can work out picking everyone up on the way, all the better. Thats why I want to get a list going now rather then later. We would all have enough time to work out what we want to see and do. |

The son of a coworker rode his Uly up there this past summer. They made an auxillary gas tank to extend their range. Their one regret was that they went up in early June and ran into a lot of rain and cold weather. I guess that they couldn't even ride through Glacier park due to snow. I'd love to go but don't see it happening for a few years. |

I'd love to go but I don't see it happening for a few years. I've got a good working relationship with a few shops up there and would love to put a face to the names. They randomly send me small coolers overnighted packed with fish, crab, caribou, etc. |

I'd love to, but due to chronic physical problems I cannot undertake a trip like this because I am not always physically capable of riding, and I will not ride when distracted by pain from my (transected) sciatic nerve. I would like to get a group together to do an "assault on the Salt" sometime in the fairly near future. I'd like a 130/140 club hat |

Put me on the list Andy. Sounds right up my alley. You've got my number, so don't be a stranger. |

Getting my picture taken at the Arctic Circle is one of my dreams. Terri and I briefly discussed it last night, and she likes the idea. Now, all we have to do is save up enough cash. We're in. |

So as far as the Alaskan season, we'd probably want to leave after homecoming in July? I'll definitely be strapping a 5 gallon gas can to the bike What's the assault on the salt? |

Start a new post/section under the storm fronts section of the site here with a clear title heading, something like Alaska 2009 maybe. That way it won't scroll off into archiveland on the quick board here. Sounds like a great idea for a ride. I've had a background desire of someday riding through the NorthWest Territories just to say I did it and to see the territory |

I was going to start one in the storm fronts but I wanted to see if there'd even be a group of riders wanting to go |
