First screening episode one just aired on BBC 2

Looks to be every bit as god as Long Way Round. We are in for a treat as first impressions reveal the format is identical in looks and feel to the original round the world effort.

Apparently there's 150 video clips available on the official website.

Enjoy.

I'm really looking forward to this one. Long Way Round was really excellent.

I'll bet KTM haven't stopped kicking themselves since refusing to supply bikes for the first 'Long way round' trip!

If ever there was an award for 'missing the best advertising opportunity ever' this has to be it.

For those who don't know, when planning the original trip Borman & McGregor tested both the BMW GS1150R and KTM Adventure. They preferred the KTM and looked all set to use them for the trip until KTM pulled the plug because they were scared it would generate negative publicity if the bikes didn't perform well.
This series they didn't even bother asking KTM at all.

Ho Hum....

Actually the KTM was Charlies first choice and McGregor went with it...he actually wanted the BMW but sided with his friend.

KTM pulled out not because of questionable bike performance but their rep that had 'done this trip before' said that the planning wasn't sufficeint and there 'was NO way they were going to complete the trip'.

If ever there was an award for 'missing the best advertising opportunity ever' this has to be it.

I'd have to put this second to M&M's vs. Reces Pieces in ET...

I thought it was KTM's rep who said they'd not get through the 'road of bones', so they refused to supply bikes unless they changed that part of the route?

I would like to see the crew ride a set of Buells, Hell I would like to see Alton Brown riding the Buells. How did BMW get that call. We need a tv reality movie blog spot with a "celebrity" to show off the bikes capabilities

Any word yet as to when this will air in the US? (or on a standard US channel) Long Way Round was on Discovery correct?
