Current thread on the 'Stitch boots made me think of these: http://www.batesleathers.com/boots/boot_types.php? boot=sportracer Anyone have these? Opinions? Looking to get an all leather boot for next season, have some Sidi Tepors for when it looks like rain. |

My wife and I both have them. I'm not sure if they make them the same way they used to, but in '97 when we got ours you drew an outline of your foot and they made them from that. $175 at the time. Wifes are still in daily use but have been resoled a few times. They were the perfect compliment to her hot pink and checkered flag Bates leathers. |

Those are going to be my next casual under-the-pant-leg boot as soon as my Heine Gerickes wear out. |

They are a little light on protection, but are durable, comfortable, and well made, my favorite boots. OK in light rain but will leak in extended heavy rain. |

They still make those? I used to have a pair back in the 80's. They wore out too quickly so I switched to other brands. Hope they've improved their durability (but I AM hard on boots). |

I still have a pair that I bought in '83, they have been rebuilt a few times ( new soles, straps, and patch where shifter rubs). Great boots and I still use them when Im going to be walking alot. Not my main riding boot anymore. Brian |
