Sorry for the off topic post...

I was visiting Germany a few years back, and was at louis (www.louis.de) and picked up a couple "generic replacement turn signals" from a shelf. They were like $4 each, and though I didn't need them at the time, I figured they would be handy to have around.

Now I am using them (on the KLR), but I need another bulb or two. They are an odd bayonet type mount. None of the local auto parts stores have them.

Anyone know the real "number" for these types of bulbs? Or know how to find / get them in the states?

They are like a 10mm base, with bayonets that are not symmetrical (the stubs are more like a right angle). One power lead comes in the base of the bulb, the other comes in on the bayonet. The bulb is about the same diameter as the base.

Thanks for any help people can offer. Don't do a lot of work, I can just scare up another set of cheapo turn signals with more accessible bulbs if these are not easy to scare up.

Bill,
Can you shoot a couple of pictures?
IIRC, Sylvania has a chart on their web site that has most bulb bases listed.
It may have been GE, don't remember for sure.

Looked like it was the GE site, thanks, that was a great resource.

This bulb looks like a "T7", but with different positions for the bayonet posts.

Looks like I can get another set of universal replacement signals for $20... I should probably just order a set of those and stop wasting time...
