V-twin Yamaha prototype. I don't care much for the color, but this thing would look pretty cool in black or BRG: http://www.motorcycledaily.com/16october07_xsv1sak ura.htm |

I can see the ads now...two guys riding down the street fiddling with their fuel valves run into each other head-on. The dust clears. One looks at the other and says, "Hey, you got Sportster all over my Bonneville." The other says "You got Bonneville all over my Sportster" and then the Sakura music plays..... Good looking bike. It does resemble my dad's 82 XS-650 (a daily runner) which has an uncanny resemblance to my dad's old '66 Triumph. (Message edited by Rainman on October 17, 2007) |

Very nice, a bit 60's looking, but if one could change the exhaust to some kind of megaphone, ditch the side cover, I would buy it. I've had several Yamaha bikes before, both singles and V-twins, they are good stuff. I like this "1,000cc, air-cooled V-twin engine" better than the MT-01 even. |

Looks like it may be as much a hit as this one on these shores:

That thing looks great to me. Notice how the front of the frame disappears into the front of the engine? Kinda reminds me of my X1. I actually would prefer this over a current sportster. They should have never rubber mounted the sporty. Now it's just a smaller big twin. Too damn heavy! |

See, I have been telling you guys for the past 30 years that mono shock was a passing fancy that would never make it!
