My 1998 Buell S3T has turned 20K on the clock and it's time for some service. I've got two questions though... 1) Where in the service manual is the 10K service list? I can't seem to find it, could someone either direct me to it or post the list? 2) What should I be looking into at 20K that I didn't at 10K? I know that the quickboard isn't really the place for this but I didn't want to put it in the general forum since I know it's been covered ad nauseum...I just couldn't get the knowledge vault search to turn anything up for some reason. edited by Dark_Ninja on June 18, 2003 |

DN, Good to see you are still alive and well. The service list for all mileage intervals is contained in Table 1-2 (page 1-9 in my '98/'98 M2 Service Manual). Do a once over on all fasteners to ensure they are tight. Check all fluid and vacuum lines for integrity. Remove the tank and check for chaffed wires/cables. You could check compression and leakdown, but if the bike is running well I wouldn't even bother with that. Again, good to hear from you. Stay in touch. Blake |

Apparently I am blind these days, I found the service table right where you said it would be. Thanks for answering me and I'm always around, I just don't post much anymore...you all are too knowledgeable for me these days. edited by Dark_Ninja on June 18, 2003 |
