cnn, now stating that the rise in bike wrecks is causing undue cost to the rest of the nation. 1 in 10 highway fatalities is because of motorcycles. nevermind that the lead shot of a bike wreck shows a car making a left in front of a bike... went on to discuss the never-ending helmet law issues, implying that the brain injured motorcyclist is a drain on tax payer funds. with so many problems available to them for discussion they pick this??? |

Well if it helps, according to their ratings, you and 3 people in Plattsburg were the only ones who saw it. |

what they should be worrying about is how much talking on cell phones while driving is costing us. Seems the lobby for cell phones is alot greater than for bikes. |

My wife has never been interested in the news. For years I've criticized her lack of interest in what is going on in the world around her. Now... I'm beginning to see her point. |

Liberal and Conservative people, once in positions of power, want to restrict those activities that they don't believe in. Notice they don't talk about how brain injuries are affecting CAR drivers. More drivers are injured and a bigger drain and if they were that concerned with it they'd require helmets in cars, too. Wouldn't bother me, I don't have enough folicles to get helmet hair. |

See, now I'd say "1 in 10 highway fatalities are motorcyclists, meaning 9 in 10 are not." Sounds like cars are the problem here. Kind of like all the firearms hoopla... We make a big deal that 1500 people are year are accidentally killed by a gun. In 2005, over 43,000 died in traffic accidents. Highway deaths per day - 120 Gun deaths per day - 4 Cars are the problem. Not bikes, not guns. |

BAN PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION! Save the planet, reduce deaths/injuries, reduce pollution by ending private transportation. Public transportation and high density housing with nearly zero commute distance/time. Weekends can still be well served by taking the train to the approved outlying park or nature site. (I've seen people actually promoting this stuff seriously!) |

"Weekends can still be well served by taking the train to the approved outlying park or nature site." But ONLY if you've been a good enough citizen for that month and you can't go to the park with the same person twice in a row. If you report any "colorful" conduct to the authorities you can go twice. |

Some people and agencies are promoting an expansion of wilderness areas where any human interaction is not allowed. Extremists are in every group. |

We all pay only because people and the system don't force individuals to OWN the _______ for there actions. The "system" will bail them out one way or another. Insurance is a big scam --- and the government is involved. It could be a fair system but money is involved and money corrupts all. The owners want to have a profit and those that get in wrecks want to win the lottery. |

roadracingworld-classact CNN-money is a drug, and they are addicts! the search for ratings and profit precludes the ability to be impartial. big surprise, a group brought up on jerry springer and the violence channel find truth and honesty boring! corporate greed knows no bounds, it is how i went from the corporate world to my own business. at least the stupid decisions are all mine(and the boss can be a real dick sometimes). |
