Is it even legal to wear a 3% patch? I mean the connotation to a 1%er'. What,or how would a 1%er view someone wearing a 3%er' patch. Nevermind the games,you know what the 1%ers' are. The deadly ones. The "Filthy Few". I wouldn't wear one. | ||

But it's not a 1%'er patch, it's a 3%'er patch. Totally different. Besides, my neck of the woods, I see 1%'er patches all over the place, even at the Harley dealership, now that's hardcore right there!  | ||

Here in GA us 3%er's don't worry about it. Unless you frequent places where your likely to see them maybe, but then again I don't. So I wear my patch with pride knowing only those few with one knows what it means. Smokescreen | ||

Smokescreen got it from me. If there is enough interest, and if Blake allows it, I may be persuaded to come out with the patches again. 3% of HD sales right? I think it was 3% of H-D profits for the year 2003.  I have had a few odd looks from The Outlaws at bike nights before, but they never said anything. Down here the only real trouble you get is for wearing colors. But with the Outlaws numbers shrinking, and the squid clubs growing (Rough Riders and the like) the issue of colors is shrinking as well. This is what I've seen here in Atlanta Metro, I'm sure it's not the same everywhere. | ||

It's been my experience with people in the 'life', that if you aren't looking for trouble, you won't find any. They keep a low profile and don't need the extra attention... at least here in Georgia. I've been invited to the clubhouse and some social rides with the local 1%'ers... but I ain't going. If three people can keep a secret if two of them are dead, I don't want to know any secrets. Most of the guys I know in the life are ex-military, btw. Just like the OG clubs that got started after WWII, GI's are coming back from combat needing exitement to fill the void. Some of these guys really need help adjusting to the society they left, but their only support group is the people in the club. | ||

3%er patch? *#@%^$#*!!!!!! I'm playin.... Only had one Outlaw say something to me and it wasn't much. They knew I had "PEOPLES" LOL!!! They use to be real bad but don't seem to be anymore. At least not in public.. I did get a laugh out of one of them by wearing my "Step Child" patch. Glitch, Remember when? | ||

someone explain, as this was before my time. The 3% is from our local brag chapter, the name came from Buell being 3% of Harley's total sales/profit so we called ourselves the 3% Bragging Rights Club. Now most Buellers have adopted the 3% name. The stepchild is from being a Buell owner and our big brothers don't like us, the ricers don't like us, and finally the Euro's don't like us either. So we are like the stepchildren of motorcycling! | ||

Barker - THAT RULES! I want a "3%'er Step-Child" patch, get this, for my HOG vest! So I need one for my Buell jacket, and one more for my HOG vest to put right next to the Buell pin and patch that pisses off my HOG chapter! They love when I show up to the meetings on the Buell! |
