I saw Dana's bike last night for the first time. Pictures don't do it justice. There's a ton of detail pics won't pick up. Sweet ride. |

Thanks Typeone. Same to ya! I posted a few pics up above and didn't turn out to well especially after seeing your pics and the others posted larger so I thought I'd post one larger to show the detail. The background is our local courthouse on the square. |

Thanks Slaughter! But I am still not sure exactly what you did. amy host web site did not have any "X's" in it to begin with...I tried just pasting that into the upload with no success. You obviously took the URL and pasted it somewhere, minus the X's. Hmmm. jimidan (Message edited by jimidan on August 18, 2007) |

They are Rizoma's. Got them from PJsParts.com. They are the only US distributors of Rizoma parts I could find. Good people too. |

Well, mine looks like s**t and is broken at the moment, but it has a lot of fancy stuff... Never mind that there's no tail section and various cables hanging |

It looks as if the derby cover has been machined from the round shape to the shape it is now and the only part left is where the seal is and the bolt holes. Why, perhaps a weight saving idea. |

That is correct. There is no extra meat anywhere on my bike |

that is a beautiful s2 slaughter, that your ride? tell me bout it That is my 1996 S2T with 88" engine with STD heads, JE pistons, Axtell cylinders, S&S connecting rods, Crane pushrods, Red Shift .585 cams, Hurricane valve springs, Jim's Hydrosolids, Pro-Flo Oil pump, Rivera clutch plates, Mikuni 45 w/S&S intake, Baker shift drum, oil squirters, oil windage, Crane ignition set to full advance (does not ping...ever, @ 10.3 to 1 and on 93 oct), K&N ham can, and Hurricane oil filter. The bike rides on billet reverse spoke (Ducati style) wheels of unknown origin. The suspension has been fully Race Teched with gold valves in the front forks and shock, with .95 kg/mm springs in the forks and a heavier straight wound spring in the Showa shock. The frame has been updated with a brace on the front "V" engine support. The swingarm has a ladder brace, a la Tilly's Pro Thunder bikes. The seat is a custom leather with Pro Pad 'gel' insert on a stock pan. The foot controls are Banke. I have an original factory issued kit for matching left brake caliper (for duals), left rotor and larger master cylinder on the shelf that I will install once this bike is no longer my daily ride. The paint and design is mine, done in my very own plastic sheet garage paint "booth", and I have the bugs in the finish to prove it! The color is actually Parkway Blue (which is also some Ford Ranger color) and Chevy white even though that photo makes it look more blue than purple...cheap digital camera. I have a better one now, so I will re-shoot soon. I have never seen a bike like mine anywhere else....which is a good thang. I take it to Daytona Bike Week every year. The wife and I took it on the BRAG "Northeast Tour" riding two up from Columbus, OH to Portland, MA and back over a two week period. I have had it at track days at least 6 times, and it pulled with the big Gixxers down the straights at Putnum Road Course near Indy. It has over 100 ft/lbs of torque at 2500 RPMs, and pulls like an electric motor to 7,000. I guess it wasn't customed enough to make it into the magazine because I never heard from the guy. thanks for asking, jim |

"and it pulled with the big Gixxers" You have a stout motor, no doubt, but are you sure it wasn't the smaller Gixxers? |
