Glitch... near as I can figure, they must be talking about that foot lever on the right side of the bike... you know, the thing you use to transfer the weight of the bike smoothly to the front so you can really stop quickly or set up nicely for a turn. No idea why they would call it a brake though....  In order to make that swerve, he would have had to counter steer hard, meaning the bike would have first have cut substantially towards the tunnel wall and further towards the back of the car (I am guessing by half a lane)... He was going pretty fast. He could have cleared the car, but it would have been freaky to first look like you are making it worse, and he then after clearing would have been at a fairly brutal angle to try and straighten it back out to stay on his side of the road... He sure didn't do himself any favors... Stupid regardless (just like my accidents ). The truck was clearly empty (and had a motorcycle in the back of it), so it's not like it jumped out in front of him... (Message edited by reepicheep on August 16, 2007) | ||

It looks like he also got hit by the car right after the video ended. I mean, he was flying right into the path of the car. What an idiot! Besides having plenty of time to swerve around the truck, at least look where you are going if you are going to be riding on one wheel. | ||

An exhaustive frame by frame analysis of this footage by top forensic videographic technicians conclusively prove that this footage is a TOTAL FAKE. Officials cited the following evidence as proof: 1. Hammers knee does not touch the ground until he has dismounted from the motorcycle. 2. Hammer's helmet is yellow. 3. Hammer almost certainly would have simply jumped OVER the parked truck instead of throwing his bike under it. And that's all I need to know about that!!  | ||

LOL had to get around to it. Like losing a member of the family. Healing going good, scapula healing on scedule so the doc says, ribs sore as all hell still. Hole in lung seems to be doing well and my spleen is healed. How they know any of this is beyond me. Slow going and chomping at the bit to get back on a bike but will have to wait untill I can do it safely. | ||
