Top speed of 50 mph "faster on downgrades" (hold on tight!) and limited range make this thing more an expensive curiosity than anything else.

The segway was suppose to change the way we lived and how cities were designed. What a joke! I wouldn't be caught dead on one of those nerd-mobiles.

I did read something about an electric MX bike a while back that seemed cool though.

dont knock the segway until you have tried it...no it did not change the way we design our cities, but they are **** fun to ride. Especially the offroad ones with the fat tires. check out youtube and you will see some pretty cool videos of guys out on "singletrack" style courses jumping logs etc.
