NOT to buy one. I do plan on waiting for the second gen to work out the kinks.(weird on/off throttle and 8- miles to a tank) But this IS my next bike. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaNVmDvEEJo |

"He ran out of gas!" This week end @ the gap, a 1098 owner said if he rides hard he gets about 75 miles out of tank! |

I must be one of a very small minority that likes the 999 better.

Ya he ran out of gas and thats one of the glitches I was talking about. They only get about 80 miles out of a tank when pushed. They also have a weird throttle on/off glitch where sometimes when you chop it the engine catches n surges you forward instead of the engine spinning down. Thats why I said I'm waiting for the second gen. And for the record,I'd give my right nutt for the bike above... |

I was talking to a guy a few weeks back at the Rockstore who just bought a 1098. He said he was out of gas and hadn't been home yet. He just picked up the bike, gassed it up and in less than 100 miles it's out. He said the fuel light never came on. They don't have a gauge? |

"when the light comes on, one must fill the tank or push" Rough translation from what I remember. |
