I have been bowfishing for years. Carp and Gar, but they never have jumped out of the water!! That looks intense. |

I think they are leaving one of the spark plug wires in the water. |

I saw that happen with those kind of fish on the Alafi River near Tampa one time. Scared the crap out of me at first as I had never seen such a thing before. My son in law and I were Bass fishing on a lake near Kissimee Florida when the Bass started jumping and swooping the mosquitoes that had swarmed over us so bad we had to haul ass out of there. I had never seen so many Bass jumping like that, nor had I ever seen a solid mass of mosquitoes like that. We were bleeding from the bites that we were exposed to for just a few minutes! |

The Big Kid bow fishes, car and bowfin. A couple of weeks ago he was in a dilema, Bow Fishing, or Girl Friend, so he took her to watch, and scored BIG points. |

Those fish are an invasive species. The sound of the motor makes them jump out of the water. They are eating other species out of the rivers. It's hard to do any high speed boating or skiing with 5-10 lb. fish smacking you in the head. Looks like fun though (bow fishing that is). |
