The last time I flew from Australia to the US, I left Sydney at 1:30 P.M. om a Monday afternoon, and arrived in San Francisco at 9:00 A.M. on Monday morning. I arrived 4 1/2 hours before I left. Which has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Stoner rode one hell of a race. It wasn't just horsepower that beat Rossi, it was skill. Stoner earned his victory. | ||

If the horsepower wasn't there, he wouldn't have beat Rossi despite all the brilliance he showed today. Rossi again gave a master class and very nearly won it. What was significant about today's race for Stoner, it was the first time we'd seen him take the fight to Rossi after he got passed by him. Great racing. I love it when the best there is gets challenged to the point that they have to deliver everything they've got in reserve. Rossi is doing just that at the minute. Rocket | ||

Just not a Valentino fan. Admire his skill, but he's not an Aussie - I 'can't' be a fan. However, young Casey reminds me of my youth. We quite often had a Stoner up front in those days too. | ||

im not an aussie but it is nice seeing alot of new talent getting out there and doing good on the motogp circut last year was Nicky Hayden this year looks like Casy Stoners year. Besides im tired of seeing Rossi winning all the time dont get me wrong hes a great rider but I like seeing more than one person win all the time its nice to see different riders winning insted of one guy dominating week in and week out every single year. Besides that what happend to Rossi leaving MotoGp to race fomula1? | ||

I really really like Rossi. I'm a big fan. But geez, it gets tiresome that whenever he fails to win some folks have to make lame excuses for him like he cannot ever not win unless something other than his talent is in play. Stoner took Rossi to school. On equally fast machines, Stoner would still have been able to draft past Rossi on the long main straight. Good grief, Rossi is just human. Tiger Woods loses; Michael Jordan loses; Nigel Mansel loses. What makes a truly great champion, and what makes Rossi so great, is being able to bounce back from a loss, acknowledging the validity of the competition, and then continuing on fighting to win. My view is that anyone who regularly seeks to excuse or blame their lack of success on others will likely never achieve real success. If Rossi had a personality like Pedrosa, I wouldn't be a fan. How can I say about Pedrosa?... I don't like. I respect his skill, but I don't like. And I stand by my forecast that Pedro will never win a MotoGP championship. He's too little. | ||

I like Rossi very much too. I just like to mess with the Rossi hat wearers here.  Yeah, would be very cool to see Hopper win a race and continue on that course. I'd sure like to see the Texas Tornado take a MotoGP win too before he retires. You know that Baylis must give him heck anytime they see each other. LOL. "Hey Colin, you win a GP race yet?" LOL. Baylis' out of the blue entry and win in the last GP race last year must be a memory/accomplishment that he'll cherrish for a long long time, and use to gig Edwards whenever he gets a chance. | ||
