you're bidding on a very, VERY cool MotoGP package from Laguna Seca from July 8-10, 2005, the year that MotoGP finally came back to America, and the year Nicky Hayden showed the world that he's got The Right Stuff! this package contains brand-new, EXTREMELY virginal copies of the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix Official Program and RoadRacerX magazine. the pix i've posted are of the copies i'm keeping. the winning bidder's copies have been wrapped in bubble wrap since day one, and are PRISTINE. the program is 172 pages and is beautifully done, and includes EVERYTHING you'd ever want to know about MotoGP, Laguna Seca, all the racers, and tons more. Colin Edwards takes you for a lap of the famous Laguna Seca racetrack, and there's even a bunch of coverage of AMA Superbike. the RoadRacerX mag is 180 pages, also beautifully done, and is their "Coming Home - The U.S. Grand Prix: Then & Now" issue. the words and photos in this issue are breathtaking. part two of this MotoGP at Laguna package are five copies of the Monterery (California) Herald newspaper - three copies of their front page, two copies of their sports page - dated July 9, 10, and 11, 2005, all focused on the racing action at Laguna Seca, just up the road about five minutes from Monterey proper. i've included a couple of pix to give you the idea. the Monterey Herald's coverage of the race is VERY cool (what other newspaper would feature Nicky Hayden on their FRONT page???) and makes excellent reading, plus there are a LOT of photographs. part three of this package is a brand-new, never-been-worn "200 MPH and a Corkscrew" MotoGP t-shirt, in XL. me 'n D waited in line for HOURS to buy some t-shirts, and THIS one has never been worn, and never been washed. it's been tucked safely away with all my other "collectable" t-shirts, waiting for its time in the sun. NOW is the time. folks, if you're a MotoGP freak, and/or a Nicky Hayden fan, and/or just whacked out on motorcycle roadracing in general, this is some very bitchin' swag. and it'd make a great gift for that certain moto-psycho on your Christmas list (if you're the kind of anal retentive that plans that far ahead...) this is cool stuff, and is being offered for a cool cause - Matt Ware and his family. All the way to $10K!!!
This auction ends next Monday May 21, 2007 at 10 p.m BadWeB (Eastern) time, but will continue beyond that time if there is bid activity within one hour of auction end. Once there is one hour of inactivity at any time after 10 p.m. May 21, the auction will be considered over. I will pay for shipping*, so consider this when bidding. There are no other fees; what you bid is what you pay. Good luck, bid often, and remember: This is for Matt Ware and his family. *(Unless you are overseas. I am happy to ship to you, however, due to the cost of shipping overseas you will be required to pay for such shipping.) (Message edited by jerry_haughton on May 14, 2007) |
